Born in 1979, Incheon, South Korea, K. Chae started photography when he moved to New York at age of 16. In 2007, he graduated Long Island University to earn B.A in Photography. Then he went back to Korea to work for Grape Communications, one of Korea’s top advertisement agency. However his passion for travel photography continued to grow, and he resigned from the position to fully pursue his personal projects. He’s been since traveling all over the world taking pictures, from his current home in New York.
Portfolio
With 12 years of experiences in every possible categories of photography, there isn’t a type of shoot Kay Chae hasn’t done or has no experiences of. Travel photography, alongside with street and documentary photography is his main body of works, traveling all over the world to capture extra-ordinary out of the ordinary. However, he’s also established portraiture photographer, working with countless models and at one time owning his own studio back in Korea. Sports photography has also been one of his most strong portfolio, covering various types of sports in Korea, and then shooting baseball and tennis events in New York as well.
